Life has been crazy this summer semester! Not only has the summer FLOWN by, but our wedding day is in T-minus 70 days!
Despite feeling pretty overwhelmed between school, work, and wedding planning, I've been able to squeeze in fun here and there, but not so much blogging (moment of silence)! SO, here's what I've been up to lately according to the pictures on my iPhone:
I took a weekend trip with my family to Gatlinburg!
It's VERY touristy and my family and I pretty much hated the downtown/touristy area, but loved getting some time on the trails in the mountains.
I've visited home a few times
In preparing for the wedding, I've made a few stops home to meet with the reception coordinator and also to celebrate the 4th of July, but I love the added bonus of seeing my little boy.
We had the amazing opportunity to see Earth, Wind and Fire!
I was VERY excited while waiting in line (forever) to get a parking spot!
We had THIRD row seats and loved rocking out!
Oh and people of the world, let me tell you, Phillip Bailey (my old neighbor *ahem*) has probably the best voice I've ever heard. The man is in his 70s and can hit notes higher than I can!
I started doing Beth Moore's Fruits of the Spirit Bible Study with some dear friends
We saw these two crazy kids get married
I wish this wasn't blurry because it's such a cute picture!
J. L. caught the garter and it worked!
I discovered the glory that is the eyelash curler...
Had a date with Jennifer and J. L. to see Spider Man and shoot some bad guys
J. L. and I bought a grill!
Of course I had to kiss the cook!
We saw James Taylor!
I've really noticed an improvement in my writing as a result of this semester of graduate school, but I'm more than ready to finish my class on literary criticism and get back to the more creative writing.
What has the highlight of your summer been?
Peace & Love,
Nicole Jeannette
