10 Years Ago Today -- September 11th

I can't believe it's been ten years since the morning my family and I sat around the TV with tears in our eyes and knots in our stomachs, unable to speak. I remember feeling terrified and trying to understand why or how anyone would ever murder innocent people like this and I still don't.

Right now I'm in tears watching the History Channel and looking at people covered in ashes, lost, confused and dazed after the buildings collapsed. It's very overwhelming.

Now every time I hear the national anthem played I think about seeing that second plane crash into the tower when I hear:
"The bombs bursting in air
Gave proof through the night
That our flag was still there."

The terrorist attacks on September 11th launched us into a new era that changed our world, but not our resolve.

Praying for peace and love to those who lost loved ones both on that horrible day and in the war against terror. Today especially, may God bless America with peace.

Such a sad and emotional day, my thoughts and heart were definitely with america. I was only 11 and I remember exactly what I was doing, I had only started secondary school that week and I came home after a gym class and saw the news footage which was on every channel of coarse. I still can't believe it and that its been 10 years, it still doesn't feel real.

I thought the coverage yesterday was amazing. Did you happen to catch the CBS documentary called 9/11: 10 Years Later? It featured the original documentary by two French brothers who were filming a rookie firefighter and ended up getting the best and only real inside footage at Tower One.

I'm still shaken today.
