So, my sister was babysitting and the parents were late. Boyfriend and I had to pick her up because her little car couldn't handle the snow/ice. I was on the phone, explaining this to my mother, when this happened:
Mom: So where are they?
Me: A tapas bar.
Mom: A TOPLESS BAR?
Me: NO! Mom! A TAPAS bar!
Mom: Oh, well, I didn't know what kind of people they were...

Hi there,
I found you through the comment love on for the love of blogs. I just love your pictures of Paris! It is one of my favorite cities in the world. I used to visit it when we lived in Europe.

OMG this is so funny because I have had nearly the exact same experience. My friends and I went to a Tapas Bar for one of their bdays and my mother later asked how it went and in a shocked voice said
"You went to a topless bar!!" and I had to reassure her no we did not infact I said T A P A S. Haha such a good story and thanks so much for checking out my blog!
My mother would do the exact same thing! :D
Haha, that's sounds like something my mom would do! She just needs a little confusion to start jumping to conclusions :D
Xoxo

Sounds like my mom...hahaha...

my mom never understands me on the phone!
That is so funny!! And such a mom thing to say! ;-)
Thanks for the laugh this morning!
Oh my gosh...I cannot stop laughing!
My mother has been known to hear things like this, too...especially when it involves music. Apparently when my mom was in high school the song, "Ain't Even Done With the Night" was pretty popular...but until about five years ago she believed it was, "Eighty-Eight Dollars A Night"...a song about a hooker.
Oh, mothers. They do make life better, don't they? :)
