Can't sleep

and all I can think about is I don't want to pay what most of my peers are willing to pay for "success." I don't care about money or cars or achieving great feats in any field.

That's not my American dream.

I don't want to gain the whole world to lose my soul. I've grown quite attached!

i majored in social work, so i loved reading this. it's hard sometimes when your goal in life is to help people, because there's not a lot of money in it, and that's hard when all your peers around you are measuring their life's successes by that measuring stick of money. be true to yourself. you probably won't get rich, but you will be successful...even if it's not recognized by the world. your contributions will be lasting and immeasurable, but way more important than money.

thanks for sharing this. and also...thanks for following my little blog. just wanted to stop by and say "hi new friend."

So much wisdom in so few words. Are you sure you're in your 20's? Keep fighting the good fight.
